A core skill for the multicultural manager: Managers around the globe face similar challenges
    By Robert Brown
In the heady days just after the Gulf War, while the victors were basking in their glory, the Commander of the British Armed Forces, General Sir Peter de la Billiere, held a press conference in Kuwait City. This reply won hearty laughter from the British present, but the many American reporters were unsure whether to laugh or to be embarrassed, since some thought that the British General was criticizing General Schwartzkopf.

A Model for Total Systems Change: Developing "High Performing Culturally Diverse" Organizations
    By Judith Katz, Frederick Miller
A culturally diverse organizational fabric adds value and increases effectiveness and productivity. This new frontier is not about establishing Affirmative Action quotas or expecting everyone to be the same and fit within a narrow bandwidth of behavior and style. It does not consist of a culture that prescribes politically correct behavior or benignly tolerates differences.

    Assessing Cultural Diversity in Canada
    By Neil McDonald
Canada, like the United States, is a multiethnic community. Unlike the United States, however, Canada has taken a legislative approach to managing this cultural diversity.
